CoatingsOne coating does not suit all projects. At Extreme blasting we prefer to work with you the vehicle owner and panel shop to ensure the best coating is applied to your project to ensure a smooth restoration.
1K Etch Our standard coating is a single pack black etch primer. This coats the surface with a tidy uniform satin black finish, great for file finishing as you can see any highs and lows in the panels. It is suitable for indoor storage in dry conditions. It's easily sanded and can be washed off with thinners if ever needed. |
2K Epoxy
For long term projects, not so ideal storage conditions or any other time you want a sealed solid surface to protect your vehicle, we recommend a 2 Pack epoxy coating. We have a standard product that offers great results but we are also happy to apply the brand of your choice (we encourage customer to supply their own materials in this case to ensure the exact product your painter desires, be sure to bring alone the data sheet as well). |
Top coat We also offer a range of other coatings inc top coat finishes for chassis, wheels and other components. Be it an undercarriage, suspension components or any other items that don't require repairs or additional prep work (we can recommend some panel shops for the more indepth work). Top coat jobs are best booked in advance so we can be sure to get the colour you require. Your welcome to email, call or drop in to discuss these options further. |
Wheels
Rim painting is no problem either if your after a quick freshen up or simply a change of colour. Note we do not do rim repairs. Also it's worth mentioning that alloy wheels, like those pictured here are no problem to blast. The crushed glass will not damage them and gently remove the old coatings. Note: Some powder coating can be difficult to get off, best to bring your rims in and we can discuss the options before we start on them. |
